When choosing a wedding photographer, whether or not you are a good fit for each other is one of the first things you should look at. For example, do your personalities match well? Are your styles similar, and can you work well with each other? It's more than just about their photographs. What happens, however, if you find two photographers that you really like? Who do you choose?
Here are some tips on how to choose between two wedding photographers that you like.
What Do Their Packages Include?
Each photographer should have their own packages that they have designed with their clients in mind. This could be a full album of photos from the wedding as well as the reception and the wedding party. It could also include videos and DVDs full of pictures complete with filters, music, and transitions between images.
While some of the packages will have similar offerings, there is usually something unique about each package that different photographers have. The price could play a factor in your choice of packages too. You should take a look at the different packages both photographers offer and decide which better suits your needs.
Is There More Than One Photographer?
Sometimes based on the price you are quoted and the packages that are offered, photographers will add a second shooter to the mix. This is to ensure the wedding is covered completely with special moments not being left out. This also means there will be more pictures to go over and potentially a higher price for each package.
If covering every single moment of your wedding and reception is key for you, then you might want to opt for the photographer that offers a second shooter. If you need to keep more on budget and only the most important parts of the day, like the cake cutting, ceremony, and first dance, are important to you, then opt for the single shooter.
How Busy Are The Studios?
While having a busy studio is a good thing for them, and it shows you that they offer a great service for a good price, it's not always the best choice. If they are booking hundreds of weddings a year, it's more likely that they are using other photographers to shoot those events.
If you want to ensure that the photographer you are hiring is the one that will show up for your wedding day, then hire the one that doesn't have hundreds of bookings a year.
